Common Questions

What hardware do I need to buy?

Likely nothing. If you have any TV or computer monitor in your shop, it can work. We connect a small device (about the size of a USB thumb drive) that plugs into the HDMI port on your existing screen. If you need a screen, any basic TV from a local store will work — we can advise on size and placement when we visit.

How do I actually update prices — do I need a computer?

No computer needed. You update prices from any smartphone or tablet using a simple web interface — it works like a basic spreadsheet. Tap the item, type the new price, tap save. The board updates in seconds. We'll walk every member of your staff through it during setup, and it genuinely takes about two minutes to learn.

What happens if the internet goes down?

The board continues displaying your last set of prices — it doesn't go blank. You just won't be able to push updates until connectivity is restored. In practice, a brief outage is invisible to your customers; they see the same board they always see.

Can I show more than just prices — photos, logos, specials?

Yes. We can include your logo, a "today's special" highlight band, cut descriptions, grade information (Choice, Prime, etc.), and seasonal messaging. The layout is built around what makes sense for your shop — we discuss all of this before building anything.

How far do you travel for setup visits?

We're based in Dunnellon and regularly serve Marion, Citrus, Hernando, and Lake counties. For shops further out, we can discuss travel arrangements — reach out and we'll sort it out.

What does it cost?
